Frequently asked questions
Where do the exchange rates come from?
From you. The app does not download rates: you type the rate that counts for you, such as the one on your card statement. It remembers the last rate for each currency pair, and each expense keeps the rate it was saved with, so changing the rate later leaves earlier expenses as they were. You can still edit the rate of a single expense.
How does splitting with friends work?
Group split is a Pro feature. Add the people on the trip on your phone; nobody else needs to install anything. Record who paid, split equally, by shares or by exact amounts, and the app shows who owes whom with the fewest transfers.
Do I need an account or a bank link?
No. There is no sign-up and nothing to connect. You type in your own entries, and the app never asks for bank logins or card numbers.
Does it work without internet?
Yes. Adding entries, planning and reports all work with no connection. When you are online, the app may send anonymous usage and crash stats (you can turn these off in Settings) and talks to Google Play when you buy Pro.
Where is my data kept?
On your phone, in the app’s private storage. We have no server that receives your trips, expenses and exchange rates. To move to a new phone, save a backup file and restore it there. With Pro, you can protect backups with an optional password; without one, the file is readable, so keep it somewhere private.
How much is Pro?
Pro is a one-time purchase, a monthly plan or a trip pass: a 3-month plan that fits one journey and renews until you cancel it in Google Play. The price in your currency is shown in Google Play before you buy.
Can I try Pro first?
Yes. The app comes with 5 credits. Spending credits opens a Pro feature for 24 hours. Credits have no cash value.
